Andalusian Early Potatoes is being promoted in Carrefour for the month of June and July, integrated into the promotional campaign of “Calidad Certificada”, a quality brand of Andalusian food.

With the slogan "Taste of Season" promotional activity is taking place until July in Carrefour supermarkets spread throughout Spain.

The opening of the season in Seville attended the General Director and Food Industries, Ricardo Dominguez, President of Landaluz, Manuel Jurado Toro, and the Regional Director of Carrefour, Jordi Campos.

The aim of this campaign is to ensure that the consumer get more information on gastronomic and nutritional values of early potatoes compared to old crop stored potatoes with lower levels of taste and freshness.

Like other seasonal fruits and vegetables such as orange, watermelon, melon, strawberry, etc, the potato also has its peak of freshness and taste. This period begins in April with the Andalusia early potato, the first year in the European market.

This promotion has been developed simultaneously in other national supermarkets, Eroski and Alcampo.
